How does Lotto5 differ to other syndicates?

With normal lottery syndicates everyone pays a set amount per lottery draw and the same amount is put onto each draw.

Therefore someone contributing £1 per draw will pay every Wednesday and Saturday and any prizes are split equally among all syndicate members.

Lotto5 differs in that only the final Saturday draw of each calendar month is used and members are split into "pools" of 5 members - meaning any prize a "pool" wins is split between a maximum of 5 people.

So How Does It Work?

To get things started Lotto5 will take on the status as members of the first "pool" to ensure there is a minimum contribution equal to 5 members per "pool". As people become involved they will be allocated to "pools" with Lotto5 remaining 1 member of each "pool" as shown below:

Pool A - Lotto 5, person 1, person 2, person 3 and person 4

Pool B - Lotto 5, person 5, person 6, person 7 and person 8 and so on

The only requirement to become involved is to pay £10 and, as there are 5 people per "pool" this equates to 50 chances to win for only £10 - or 50 entries on one draw for £10.

People will be allocated to the "pools" on a first come first serve basis and Lotto5 will then purchase the necessary tickets for the last Saturday draw of each month.

How Will I Know If I've Won?

Once the tickets for each "pool" have been purchased Lotto5 will scan and email the 50 relevant tickets for every member prior to the draw taking place so that each member can individually check the tickets.
